10V/µs, RAIL-TO-RAIL I/O OP AMPS IN ULTRA-SMALL PACKAGES
SUNNYVALE, CA January 22, 2000 Maxim Integrated Products introduces the dual MAX4491 and quad MAX4492 op amps with 10V/µs slew rate. They are housed in the miniature 8-pin SOT23-8 and 14-pin TSSOP packages, respectively, making them ideal for applications demanding the smallest possible board area. Rail-to-Rail® inputs and outputs increase flexibility and dynamic range, while simplifying circuit design for applications powered from a single +2.7V to +5.5V supply. The combination of high slew rate, miniature packaging, and low-voltage operation makes these op amps ideal for portable applications from RF power-amp control to audio amplifiers.
In addition, the MAX4491/MAX4492 achieve a 10MHz gain bandwidth product, while consuming only 800µA of supply current per amp. Other features include a low 50pA input bias current and a 2k ohm drive. Sample/hold and ADC predriver circuits benefit from a 300pF capacitive load-driving capability.
The dual MAX4491 is offered in both 8-pin SOT23 and 8-pin SO packages; the quad MAX4492 is offered in the space-saving 14-pin TSSOP package. Prices start from $0.22/amp (100,000-up, factory direct, FOB USA).
