SOT23 SERIES VOLTAGE REFERENCE FROM MAXIM CONSUMES ULTRA-LOW 2µA SUPPLY CURRENT

Note to Editor: The MAX6129 is the industry's lowest power series voltage reference IC.
SUNNYVALE, CA-September 10, 2002-Maxim Integrated Products (NASDAQ: MXIM) introduces the MAX6129 series voltage reference, which uses only 2µA of quiescent supply current (typ) and 5µA supply current (max) guaranteed. The MAX6129 sources up to 4mA of current for applications that require high-current capability and offers six output voltage options: 2.048V, 2.5V, 3.0V, 3.3V, 4.096V, and 5V. The 200mV dropout voltage makes the MAX6129 an ideal solution for battery-powered applications such as cell phones, PDAs, or portable medical devices.

The MAX6129's output is stable with capacitive loads up to 10µF and requires no external compensation capacitors. Available in a tiny 5-pin SOT23 package, it also features 40ppm/°C (max) output voltage temperature drift, 0.4% (max) initial accuracy, and operation with supply voltages up to 12.6V. Prices start at $0.55 (1000-up, B-grade, FOB USA).
