24V, 600mA INTERNAL SWITCH, 100% DUTY CYCLE, STEP-DOWN CONVERTER
SUNNYVALE, CA-May 22, 2001-Maxim Integrated Products introduces the MAX1776 high-efficiency step-down converter that provides an adjustable 1.25V to VIN output from supply voltages as high as 24V. An internal current- limited MOSFET delivers load currents up to 500mA. Direct conversion from 24V eliminates the compounded efficiency losses and saves power.
The MAX1776 low quiescent current (15µA) improves light load efficiency and conserves battery life. The device draws 3µA in shutdown.
The MAX1776 is available in an 8-pin µMAX package and are screened for the extended temperature range (-40°C to +85°C). Prices for the MAX1776 start at $2.98 (1000-up, FOB USA). A preassembled MAX1776_EVKIT (evaluation kit) is available with recommended external components to reduce design time.
