1.8V OP AMPS CONSUME 100µA AND DRIVE 2 KILOHM LOADS WITH 0.017% THD + N NOW AVAILABLE IN CHIP-SCALE PACKAGING
SUNNYVALE, CA—September 5, 2001—Maxim Integrated Products introduces the MAX4292 dual op amp with Rail-to-Rail® inputs and output packaged in a UCSP, measuring 1.5mm x 1.5mm in area. This device consumes only 100µA of supply current per channel, yet drives a 2k load and achieves an open-loop gain of 120dB. Its robust three-stage design makes no compromises between specification, size, or power.
Operating from a single +1.8V to +5.5V supply, this op amp delivers 20,000 hours of operation from two alkaline AA cells. A power-supply rejection ratio of 100dB allows the op amp to be powered directly from a single lithium cell or from 2 to 3 NiCd, NiMH, or alkaline cells without producing excessive output error as the cell voltage decays. The MAX4292 achieves a 500kHz bandwidth and is capable of driving a minimum of 2k to within 3mV of each supply rail.
Tiny packaging, superior open-loop gain, load-driving capability, and a good input-offset voltage of ±200µV make the MAX4292 well-suited for portable applications including cellular handsets and communications equipment.
Prices start at $0.62 (1000-up, factory direct, FOB USA).
