INDUSTRY-STANDARD POWER-ON RESET ICs NOW AVAILABLE IN MINIATURE SC70 PACKAGE
Note To Editors: The MAX803/MAX809/MAX810 microprocessor (µP) supervisory circuits are the first fully integrated power-on reset ICs available in the SC70 package, which is half the size of the SOT package. In addition to reducing board space by 2x, these new SC70 reset devices also offer a 30% lower supply current (12µA), a new reset threshold (2.32V) for monitoring 2.5V supplies, and a new open-drain reset output version (MAX803).
SUNNYVALE, CA—January 20, 2000—Maxim Integrated Products introduces the MAX803/MAX809/MAX810 microprocessor (µP) supervisory circuits. Designed to monitor supply rails of +2.5V to +5V in µP and digital systems, these devices reduce cost and eliminate external components and adjustments. They are available in the miniature SC70 package, which is one-half the size of the SOT package.
The MAX803/MAX809/MAX810 feature 2.5% reset threshold accuracy over temperature. Whenever the supply voltage declines below the threshold, a reset signal is asserted and maintained for at least 140ms after VCC returns above the reset threshold. The new MAX803 features an open-drain active-low RESET-bar output, the MAX809 features a push-pull active-low RESET-bar output, and the MAX810 features a push-pull active-high RESET-bar output. These devices consume only 12µA supply current, and the reset outputs are guaranteed valid to 1.0V.
The MAX803/MAX809/MAX810 are available in 3-pin SC70 packages. Prices start from $0.94 (2500 or 10,000 minimum, FOB USA).
