DIRECTIONS TO USE 'ANALOG SWITCHES AND MULTIPLEXERS' ORCAD CAPTURE LIBRARY ****************************************************************** The 'ANALOG SWITCHES AND MULTIPLEXERS' Orcad Capture Library archive contains the following files 1. 'ANALOG SWITCHES AND MULTIPLEXERS.olb' file, which is the symbol library file containing Orcad Capture symbols of all the devices in the library. 2. Orcad Capture/PSpice A/D compatible spice subcircuit files for all the devices in the symbol library. For each device there will be a separate subcircuit file named after the device part number and with a .lib extension. 3. This README.txt file. HOW TO USE SYMBOLS AND SUBCIRCUIT FILES IN ORCAD CAPTURE/PSPICE A/D ENVIRONMENT. ******************************************************************************** 1. Save the Symbol file and the subcircuit files to any convenient location. 2. 'ANALOG SWITCHES AND MULTIPLEXERS.olb' symbol library file is like any other Orcad Capture library file which can be edited by opening it in Orcad Capture from menu File->Open->Library. 3. Symbols in the library can be used to draw circuit schematic in Orcad Capture environment. To use symbols in the symbol library use menu Place->Part. Use the Add Library button in the Place Part dialog box. Browse and open the 'ANALOG SWITCHES AND MULTIPLEXERS.olb' file from where it has been stored. All the devices in the library will be listed in the parts list. Select the device to place it into the schematic. 4. Before running the Pspice A/D simulation, .lib subcircuit files of the devices used from the 'ANALOG SWITCHES AND MULTIPLEXERS' symbol library should be included in the simulation profile of the design. For including the subcircuit files use menu PSpice->Edit Simulation Profile. In the simulation setting dialog box choose Configuration Files section. Select the library category, browse for the subcircuit files, click Add to Design and Apply. Normal procedure for simulation can be now followed for simulating the design. For more details refer to the Orcad Capture or Pspice A/D manuals.
