Benefits of the DS2761 over the bq2019:
- DS2761 has an integrated single cell Li-Ion Protector, bq2019 does not.
- Has optional integrated 25mΩ sense resistor, bq2019 does not.
- Is available in flip chip package, smallest package for bq2019 is 8-pin TSSOP.
- Can measure voltage, bq2019 does not.
- Has lower max current measurement offset of +15.625uV vs. bq2019 max current measurment offset of +25uV.
- Temperature measurement resolution is 0.125°C vs. 1°C for the bq2019.
- Several DS2761s can reside on same Dallas 1-Wire interface bus for multi-pack applications. Only one bq2019 may reside on its single wire interface bus.
Benefits of the bq2019 over the DS2761:
- The bq2019 has more NV memory, 96 bytes of flash or flash-basked RAM vs 32 bytes EEPROM for the DS2761.
- The bq2019 has an internal self discharge estimation calculation, the DS2761 does not.
