Benefits of the MAX174/MX574 over the ADS574:
- The MAX174/MX574 are 100% compatible drop in replacements for the industry standard AD574.
- MAX174/MX574 matches the input impedance with the industry standard ADS574. The ADS574 has a higher input impedance specification.
- MAX174 offers improved conversion time. (8µs vs. 25µs)
Benefits of the ADS574 over the MAX174/MX574:
- TI ADS574 works on a single +5V supply. Since a +12-15VDC supply and the negative supply are not required, the ADS574 consumes 3x less power. (65mW max), however to emulate the industry standard ADS574, a negative supply is required for the ADS574 to be software compatible.
